Text

Like others, I echo the remarks that have paid tribute to Katie Simpson's family. This case has touched the hearts of many who have read the details of it, because it was sickening and harrowing. Katie was very clearly failed by systems that should have protected her. Minister, have you given any consideration to a review of a specific offence of suicide that has been induced by domestic violence? Although Katie was murdered, even when it was thought that she had died by suicide, there was no further investigation of the person who was responsible for her death.
