Text

I thank the First Ministers for being with us in the House. I also want to thank front-line workers and those who played their part and assisted people in our communities, including the community workers and the Red Cross, which played a vital role, particularly in my constituency. Right now, First Ministers, as we sit here and talk about the impact of the storm, people are freezing in their homes and are without heat and electricity, as has been said. Some are without water and some are hungry. This is day 4, and people cannot survive in those conditions for a prolonged period. What is being done today by the Executive to provide intervention, financial or otherwise, by means of accommodation that is suitable for those people to ensure that they are safe?
