Text

I thank the Minister for his statement. I certainly wish him well. We predicted that, when one Health Minister walked out of the door and another walked in, the new Minister would have the same challenges to face up to as he walked through the door. In his statement, the Minister touched on workforce pay. Members of the House have been invited to join junior doctors who will stage a protest outside the Building on Thursday. Unfortunately, I cannot attend, but I have made my views known in the Chamber. Does the Minister intend to join the protest and speak to the junior doctors to give a fresh perspective on that negotiation?
