Text

I congratulate the bravery and courage of a couple in my constituency, whom some of you might have seen in the news over the weekend: Danielle and Nial Sands. They spoke out very bravely about their experience following the birth of their baby, Joe. Danielle suffered from postnatal depression, and Nial then realised that he was going through the same thing. I thought that their courage, in talking about their story and raising awareness of something that is never really discussed, namely men's mental health in the wake of a new addition to the family, was amazing. I know them personally — Danielle's granny is my neighbour — so I congratulate them on their bravery.
