Response to the Cost-of-living Crisis - Amendment 4
Leave out all after ‘has been insufficient;’ and insert:
‘acknowledges that the relevant taxation and fiscal powers lie with the British Government; recognises that the scale of the fuel crisis and cost of living crisis means that to make a meaningful impact in support of people here requires substantial additional funding from the Treasury; endorses the letter from the First Minister and deputy First Minister to the Prime Minister urging him to take immediate action in response to the escalating impact of rising fuel and energy costs; and calls on the British Government to bring forward a package of measures to support those under pressure including a reduction in fuel duty to ease the strain on households, workers and businesses, targeted support for hauliers, farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises, and a comprehensive cost of living support package.’
