Text
I thank the Member for giving way. He referred again to whether or not parents want to be in court, and, of course, they do not. However, I would argue that we would like to see a society where, when a parent is told by their son or daughter that they are questioning their sexuality or think that they might be gay, or they are questioning their gender identity or want to have that conversation, they are met with love and acceptance and not given a lesson telling them that they are wrong or trying to change who they are. Is that not a society that we should strive to have? Then there would be no risk of parents being criminalised.
