Data notices

When something goes wrong with the data on this site, and visitors may have seen incomplete or incorrect figures, I record it here: what was affected, why it happened and how it was put right.

Changes to individual records, such as a corrected classification or a revised Official Report, are shown on the record itself. To report a problem, use the corrections form.

Some MLAs were missing from lists for most of a day

· Resolved

For most of 8 November 2026, 43 of the 90 MLAs did not appear in the lists of MLAs, on the leaderboard or on constituency pages.

What was affected
The MLAs list, the leaderboard and constituency pages left out 43 MLAs, and figures that depend on who is currently an MLA were incomplete while they were missing. No Assembly records, assessments or votes were lost or changed.
What happened
Early that morning, between about 04:10 and 04:41 UK time, the Assembly’s open data service briefly returned empty details about MLAs’ roles. The site’s daily update accepted those empty answers and removed the dates that show when each of those MLAs has served.
What was done
The site now ignores empty or incomplete answers of this kind and keeps the details it already holds, then tries again later. The missing details were fetched again from the Assembly the same evening, and every affected MLA was restored.
