The geoblocking of RTÉ content in the North is unacceptable and should be brought to an end. The Irish Government have the power to do more to address the issue, and I believe that they should engage more with the British Government, regulators, broadcasters and internet service providers to help identify and deliver a solution to that unfair practice. I understand that there has been some correspondence on the matter between the British and Irish Governments. My predecessor and I have raised the issue with both Governments, and I am hopeful that a solution will be agreed as soon as possible so that all RTÉ content is available to all citizens in Ireland.
