Text

I thank the Member for taking an intervention. That is the very point that I made earlier: it does not matter how long ago the women and their children were in the institutions, because it impacts on them today and will do so for the rest of their lives. It impacts on their families, their children and their grandchildren, and they deserve to be acknowledged. It is about that acknowledgement and the opportunity to make what was done, which was so wrong, a little better — a little bit right.
