Text
— let us ignore the reality. Let us ignore the facts. I have said from day 1 that I want to see the A5 built. It is a priority for all of us in the Executive. Too many lives have been lost on that stretch of road. The project has, however, been marred by legal challenge after legal challenge, going back well over a decade. We know that there is a legal challenge currently under way. There is nothing new in what I have said. I said, as did the Minister for Infrastructure, that we will leave no stone unturned in order to ensure that the A5 gets built. Of course, it is not just the A5 that is affected. The same is being felt across this island and across these islands. We therefore need to come at the project in a constructive way, instead of talking nonsense and ignoring the point about who introduced the legislation in the first place.
