Text

I thank the Member for taking an intervention. You were taking me into a vein of thought, given the current international crisis, the price of oil and the way in which things have been handled in the Middle East, particularly by President Trump. That has been a salutary lesson to many Governments across the world about total reliance on fossil fuels. Biomethane is yet another alternative that we have in our pack to try and ease the heavy reliance on fossil fuels, and it should be tested, particularly in our rural areas.
