Text
Part of it will be a requirement to publish an inland fisheries policy statement, and that will be really important so that we are able to look at the challenges facing the fishing sector today and in making sure that there is a level playing field for everyone. That is why we are standardising fines and penalties and bringing ourselves in line with our colleagues in the rest of the UK. It is long-awaited legislation, and, hopefully, it will get to the House as soon as possible so that we can complete the associated scrutiny.
