I beg to move
I think that this is the third time that I have introduced the uprating under the Pneumoconiosis, etc., (Workers' Compensation) (Northern Ireland) Order 1979. We are uprating it by 3·8%. I do not believe that I need to go any further into the detail. If anyone is interested, they can look at the Hansard report from the previous two years.
Thank you very much, Mr Deputy Speaker. I welcome the support that we have received from the Chairman of the Committee for Communities in his comprehensive speech, outlining the rationale for what we are doing today. It is important that we put it through because of the benefit that it will bring to those who are helped by it. I do not think that there are any particular issues that I need to respond to in the Chairman's comments. I thank the Committee for its scrutiny, and I commend the motion to the House.
