Text

I thought that the commentary from Arlene Foster was absolutely shameful. Any right-minded person would think that her comments were absolutely shameful. Sadly, I cannot say that I was surprised by the flippancy and arrogance of such a statement, saying, "Let us cut welfare, cut everybody who is in need, take money off the vulnerable and support the militarisation agenda". Then the DUP leader weighed in and doubled down on that very argument. Shame on the DUP. That shows you where its focus lies, and it shows you that that is the style of politics that you get from it. When people are struggling, our job is to support them.

When people are struggling —

. The master of distraction and deflection. Whatever you do, do not mention that you are a cheerleader of war. That is what we see.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.33 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (0.79).
  • The overall probability was low and the text did not adopt any identity-based framing.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
