Text
My Department continues to work closely with DWP to progress reforms to the Child Maintenance Service (CMS), with a particular focus on strengthening compliance and improving enforcement. Following a consultation, secondary legislation will be brought forward to introduce administrative liability orders, reducing current enforcement timescales from around 22 weeks to an estimated six to eight weeks. The necessary legislation is expected to become operational in this calendar year.
