Text

I thank the Member for giving way. For fear of misrepresenting Baroness Foster, she did not offer an opinion on whether she was for or against; she reiterated that it was cosmetic. The focus of the motion has been about how this removes the ability for parties to say, "Vote for us or get them." Does the Member not accept that, in every Government and every political party around the world, that is exactly what is done? They want to replace the people who are in power. With that in mind, will the Member explain why the SDLP did not hold fire with a motion like this until we see the results of a current AERC investigation and Committee report that will, ultimately, talk about a lot of the issues?

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.19 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (0.97).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
