Text
Mrs Mason asked the Minister of Education, following on from his previous answer, given that the EA announced last week, causing absolute shock and alarm to the many families who, as he knows, have to fight tooth and nail to secure it, that provision of one-to-one classroom assistants could be reconfigured, also noting that it was not acceptable for him casually to bring it up via social media on a Thursday evening, to set out what safeguards will be put in place to ensure that no child who currently receives one-to-one classroom support will have that provision reduced or reconfigured without a full formal assessment having been done or the clear consent of parents, whom he may think have closed minds as well, having been sought.
