Text
I followed that issue up again today with officials, because it is important that we take action on it. That includes engaging with the UK Government. I will update Members on the Fishing and Coastal Growth Fund, which was announced a number of months ago. As you are aware, we are not getting our fair share of that. We are getting approximately 3% of that through Barnett consequentials, rather than the 10% that we are due. I have consistently raised that — I did so recently — with the UK Government to ensure that we have funding support for our fishing community. It is important that we have support in place on this. A lot of this sits with the UK Government. I will continue to engage with them on it. I want to engage with the sector on this move. I am very disappointed with how the Isle of Man has done this.
