Text

The First Minister will be very aware that, in my constituency, in Derry, people's reality of the British Army is enshrined by the fact that 14 people were murdered on the streets of my city on Bloody Sunday, and many more were injured. That has been the impact of the British Army in my city. When the British Government defended those soldiers in court with £4·3 million of public money, that was very clearly a role that they took on. Therefore, can the First Minister confirm that this is not the responsibility of this Assembly but of the British Government?
