Text

Miss McIlveen asked the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, given that the change in the Isle of Man immigration rules could, in effect, prevent local fishing boats from fishing within a 12-nautical-mile radius of the Isle of Man, and given that she notes from the Minister's response in 'The Irish News' that it appears that he and his Department knew nothing about that change before 11 February, to state whether that is because there was no prior announcement by the Isle of Man Government and no consultation, or because he and his officials were simply oblivious to it.
