Text

I will keep my remarks brief. Alliance supports the redevelopment of Casement Park and believes that it should be delivered as part of the original regional stadia commitment. We will not support the motion. We believe that it singles out one sporting code in a way that risks deepening division and being perceived as a dog whistle. If Members believe that there should be clawback mechanisms attached to publicly funded stadia or, indeed, any publicly funded capital assets, we believe that that principle should be applied across the board to all arenas and all sports, not to one stadium alone.
