Text

The Minister and his departmental officials should be commended for this work. The fact that we see a vast increase in the number of referrals, as was reported this morning on the BBC, should be welcomed by every party in the Chamber. However, it is clear that the Department for Work and Pensions on the mainland has also been undertaking significant interventions. Will the Minister detail the extent of that work and what subsequent Barnett consequentials we are likely to receive?
