Text

I thank the Minister for her answer. I would like to point out that parties have worked and are working together on this at the meeting last week and outside that meeting. What specific and immediate directive has the Minister issued to Rivers and the Planning Service to review all planning applications in the Antrim catchment area? Can she assure the House that the cumulative impact of new developments on surface water drainage has been adequately assessed? Can she commit to a moratorium on major approvals in that area until a full drainage capacity study is complete?
