Text
Minister, the Chief Medical Officer recently told the Health Committee that the evidence for the minimum unit pricing of alcohol is "irrefutable". We have also heard that from many health organisations and charities that work in the area. What is the Minister's understanding of the barriers to it being legislated for in this mandate and not becoming a missed opportunity to save lives and reduce the pressure on the health service?
