Text

It is clear that something has gone badly wrong here, and, once again, our hospitality sector is the victim. How can the Minister stand over a process that, at two months' notice, imposes tens of thousands and, in some cases, hundreds of thousands of pounds of rates increases on our hard-pressed hospitality sector? Will he commit to pausing the review's implementation, at this stage, until he meets representatives of the hospitality sector? Will he commit today to meeting representatives of the hospitality sector in North Belfast, who have invested in parts of our city that no one else has in years and are expected to pay tens of thousands of pounds extra, which they cannot afford?
