Text

The tracking of applications has always been in place. It is important that that happens so that when the applications are received and turned around is tracked. I reassure the Member that that has always been the case. Not every planning application is the same. Some issues and challenges with ammonia pollution are reflected in the responses from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency. That is a challenge that I inherited. Ammonia levels are going up. There is severe pollution in Northern Ireland. We have an obligation to turn that around. I am aware of the farming community's concerns about the replacement sheds that they want. We are trying to find a solution to that. If it were easy, it would not have been sitting for so long before I came into office.
