Text

I welcome the introduction of the GDL. It is a good and sensible measure. It has taken a long time. You said that work had been going on and that officials had to draft and implement it. Obviously, it should not have taken a decade for it to happen — that is too long — although I welcome it that it has now. I want to ask your opinion. You mentioned the two periods of collapse. I do not want to relitigate the reasons for those: one was caused by Sinn Féin and the other by the DUP. Do you agree that taking that long to implement a life-saving measure underlines the need to fundamentally reform how this place works? We cannot have a situation in which vital, life-saving legislation takes a decade to implement because the Assembly is not even here.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.32 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (0.66).
  • The overall probability was low and the text did not adopt any identity-based framing.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
