Text
I thank the Member for his question. He is being a little facetious. I am not prone to hyperbole, as some in the Chamber may be, but I assure the Member and everybody else that I am listening to the business community. I hear their concerns; I understand their concerns; and I am working hard with my Executive colleagues to make progress on them. Engagement on waste water infrastructure in particular is reflected in our Programme for Government because of the emphasis and priority that the Executive put on it. Everybody in the Chamber is familiar with the challenges that we face with the Budget, but the Infrastructure Minister has consistently made the case for more investment in waste water infrastructure. Everybody around the Executive table recognises the need for that and has supported it, and the Finance Minister has consistently made allocations. If we had more money to put towards it, we would absolutely do so, but we are working to address a number of priorities. We recognise the real significance of addressing the challenges in respect of waste water infrastructure.
