Text

I certainly welcome the investment in the health service. I note the £495 million for reducing our scandalous waiting lists, which is a Programme for Government commitment, and the funding for the mother and children's hospital at the Royal Victoria Hospital site. Does the Minister agree that significant overspends in the Department of Health and Department of Education have contributed to the difficult position in which the Executive find themselves? Given that a way forward appears to have been negotiated with the Health Minister, what is the status of the discussions with the Education Minister?
