Text
As the matter does not sit under my direction and control — it sits under the direction and control of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) — I will refer your question to DEFRA and make sure that it is able to respond to the questions that you have raised. I understand the concerns, and I have been continuing to engage with the UK Government to find a way forward. That is why those schemes have been announced. We have to be clear that the schemes that have been announced will not resolve everything, but I have been very clear in my engagement with the UK Government of the need to ensure that there is a focus on the issue, particularly in relation to communication, SQPs and online sales.
