Text

I thank the Member for her kind words. Yes, they absolutely are, particularly in areas that are hotspots for flooding. I am aware of the impact of the flooding at Bloody Bridge. The key areas are drainage and gully cleaning, but I am happy to write to you with a more detailed response on the specifics to update you and, hopefully, give you confidence that the Department has been monitoring that and continues to do so, particularly as we head into the autumn/winter period during which such episodes are likely to be more frequent. Flash flooding and periods of instant heavy rainfall can be difficult to manage. We see that across the board, but the higher-risk areas are monitored closely, and we work extremely hard to ensure that drainage and gully cleaning work is carried out regularly.

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.02 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • No identity-based framing was identified (1.00).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
