Text
Mr McCrossan, I do not get involved in freedom of information requests to the Department. If I, as the Minister, were doing that, you would be the first to say that it was totally inappropriate. You have the right to appeal the decision. I am not going to say to officials, "Release this and do not release that"; that is not the way to run a Department. One of the issues about the A5 is the appeal that is under way. I have been clear that I have intervened with regard to that. It is important that I do that, because I believe in taking action on climate change. It is important that we implement the legislation as it was intended, and I have intervened in relation to the appeal in furtherance of that.
