Text
Mr O'Toole asked the Minister of Education about his desire to get £1·7 billion to invest in special educational needs facilities and schools, given that his party's deputy leader, his predecessor as Education Minister, Michelle McIlveen, announced an £800 million capital works programme for schools three and a half years ago, and the majority those schools are still waiting for confirmation or progress on that; and whether it is cynical for the Minister to simply come to the Chamber and throw around numbers when there is no clarity about when or how the investment will be delivered.
