Text
As I said in response to some of the queries raised in relation to the grant, there will be an opportunity to look at the criteria when we are laying the regulations. That issue may arise, but, predominantly, the existing criteria support homeowners who have responsibility for their property and are dealing with the cost of that. We can look at that during Committee Stage and later to see whether anything can be done. I am happy to consider that further. I believe that the Bill will, should it become an Act, play a significant role in empowering my Department and NI Water to continue to provide a high-quality service to meet the needs of all the people in the North. Those powers are vital in the face of the unique challenges that we all see in the 21st century. I thank Members for their support, and I commend the Bill to the House.
