Text
I thank the Minister for his statement. My party warmly welcomes his proposal for a £1·7 billion investment dedicated to children with special educational needs, because we hear so often that children wait too long for statements, travel too far to school and wait too long to hear what school they are going to. We will support what is right in the same way as we will oppose anything that is wrong and scrutinise along the way. Does the Minister agree that such investment, while it is the right thing to do for children, is an example of "spend to save", in the sense that, if we invest and show our belief in children with special educational needs, in the future, they will make an even greater contribution to our society, economy —.
Do you agree with me, Minister?
