Text
Anaerobic digestion has a lot of benefits for Northern Ireland. Sustainable utilisation of livestock slurry, which is part of a small business research initiative (SBRI), is now in phase 2. I want to see that scaled up. We work in conjunction with the Department for the Economy on that, and wider collaboration is taking place. Further collaboration needs to take place, and that relates to the nutrients action programme and how we provide people with the tools to take action. I am keen to do that. I need to get an update from officials to see where that liaison is and what the Department for the Economy is up to, but I understand the importance of anaerobic digestion.
