Text
First, I declare an interest as the vice chair of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association working group on AI in democracy. The Welsh Government are taking the lead on utilising AI, which includes looking at Microsoft Copilot and its enhanced security issues. I ask that the Chief Scientific and Technology Adviser, Helen McCarthy, given her studies on using technology, particularly AI, to improve democracy, take the lead cross-regionally. I also ask that she look at the real challenges that the digital Irish Sea border will present for data sharing.
