Text

I thank the Member for giving way. I do not disagree with an awful lot of what you have said; in fact, what you have said is in our amendment. What is key is that we believe that every life, Israeli or Palestinian, is equal, and the motion does not say that. Will you join Sinn Féin and the SDLP in voting for a motion that says that the life of an Israeli child is worth less than that of a Palestinian child?

Jev’s structured answers met every documented threshold for a qualifying culture-war activity.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.76 (qualifying needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not qualifying).
  • Criteria met: Identity framing (0.88); Dog-whistle messaging (0.71).
  • The text adopts the identity-based framing in its own voice (0.67).
  • Subject area: Sectarianism, hate crime and community relations.
  • The text adopts an antagonistic or dog-whistle framing, which qualifies even alongside legitimate scrutiny.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
