Text
Mr McNulty asked the Minister of Justice, given that, last week, a headline in the 'Belfast Telegraph' reported that a lot of young people believe that they missed out on the Troubles, and given that many of us grew up and were shaped by the violence, the maiming, the murder, the fear and the terror of the Troubles, why it is that young people today, who were born after the peace process, are coming to the view that the Troubles' horrendous violence and devastation, which still haunts and scars people to this day, is something on which they missed out; and further asked what measures are being taken to address the underlying causes of youth disengagement and susceptibility to paramilitary propaganda and influence.

- The text adopts the identity-based framing in its own voice (0.43).
- Subject area: Legacy of the Troubles, victims and paramilitarism.
- None of the culture-war criteria came close to being met, and the subject matter alone is not enough for it to be flagged.
This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
