Text

I am grateful for that answer. I would be grateful if the Minister were to look into the issue, because we hear that more detained persons are being sent to hospital now than prior to the scheme and that, apparently, the medical staff present in custody suites will not help police officers who suffer minor injuries in the course of their duties. For example, they are being refused help if they have been cut or spat at. If that is the case, perhaps, when looking into the issue, the Minister would consider whether that is acceptable. What is his assessment of that, should it be the position?
