Text

I do not agree with the Member's characterisation. The establishment of the local economic partnerships is a new approach that brings together my Department, Invest NI, councils and other key economic stakeholders in local areas. While there has been some slippage due to factors such as my Department working through the business case approval and councils establishing each partnership, a great deal of progress has been made. With approval secured for the regional balance fund business case, I look forward to seeing the partnerships bring forward innovative proposals to address economic issues that affect their areas.
