Text

Mr Dickson asked the First Minister and deputy First Minister to explain what safeguards are in place to ensure that there is full accountability, transparency and, indeed, public confidence in how public funds are awarded and monitored, given the recent revelation that millions of pounds of public funds have been spent through Communities in Transition (CIT) programmes and that some of that money has been allocated to organisations that are led by individuals with serious paramilitary convictions, including murder and kidnap.
