Text
As stated earlier, we are providing £55 million to childcare this year. That is more than double the support that was provided last year and allowed the Education Minister to make his announcement last week. The number of children who will benefit from the discount is estimated to increase by 60%, from 15,000 to approximately 24,000. That support will mean a tangible change in people's lives as a result of the Executive's Budget.
