Text

And again, it appears. It was during questions on the ministerial statement that we have just heard and during Members' statements earlier. Mr Speaker, will you rule on whether it is appropriate to mention a person's attire and to accuse a person of being an extremist? Those comments were contained in a Member's statement and in a question. Do such remarks constitute a direct and personal attack on a Member, whether that Member is a Minister or not?

Assessment

Not flagged

Jev’s structured answers met the documented threshold for “not flagged”.

  • Overall probability that the activity is being used to promote, exploit or escalate an identity-based controversy: 0.23 (flagging needs at least 0.70; at or below 0.30 is not flagged).
  • None of the five culture-war criteria was met (each was below 0.60).
  • The text reports, quotes or asks about the framing rather than adopting it (0.39).
  • The overall probability was at or below the not-flagging threshold.

This is an AI-generated assessment of the text, made against published criteria. It is not a finding of fact about the MLA or their intentions. The Assembly record itself is the fact.
