Text
The plan that I am taking forward is a Department of Education-led plan. All of it has consensus, because we are all in agreement that we want the very best for every single school. The Department of Education is leading on the plan, and we are making significant progress. I took heart not just from the number of principals who told me at the conference how they felt very enthused and optimistic but from those who had low expectations for it and did not think that it would be worth attending. They now very much get the vision, however. It is not my vision. Rather, it has to be our collective vision that we make Northern Ireland's education system the very best in the world. That is what our children deserve.
