Text
We are at an advanced stage with the international relations strategy. The Member will appreciate that a number of global events have taken place, not least the change of president in the United States. That brought a very different direction in the global environment, particularly in relation to foreign direct investment and what we would be targeting. We have to be acutely aware of those changes and make sure that our international relations strategy is fit for purpose in that context. We are taking all those things into account. The picture of where we will land internationally with global trade and tariffs is still very unclear, but we will take all that into account and will shortly bring forward our international relations strategy.
