Text
The Member is right. We are working on an offshore renewable energy installations Bill, which will establish frameworks for the decommissioning of safety zones and the rights of navigation in our waters. We are working with the Office of the Legislative Counsel (OLC) in respect of that. I envisage that incentivisation will be necessary in relation to the investment in offshore projects, and that will continue to be a part of the developmental process for the support scheme that we will be consulting on later in the year. That also fits into the work on the critical path timeline for offshore renewable energy, which is being undertaken by the offshore renewable energy action plan (OREAP) steering group.
