Text
It is important that we ask questions about all the issues. It is unclear why the decision has been made. Did the Minister make that decision and impose it on Translink? Did Translink make the decision under the direction of the Minister? Is there a justification? Many people will ask what the justification is for ripping out nearly new signs costing £120,000 and replacing them with different signs because a particular Minister has a particular political agenda. Those are legitimate questions, and we make no apology for asking them. We will continue to ask those questions. Of course, importantly, we want to get the answers, and, on the back of that, I commit to the House that I will raise the matter at the Executive on Thursday. There is already correspondence in the system asking for answers to those questions. They are legitimate questions, and we want the answers to them.
