Text

I thank the Member for giving way. She makes an important point about schools. In a briefing paper that I have seen, the controlled sector made the point that the 2016 report to which the Member who opened the debate referred addresses the cost of unoccupied places at schools but does not address the fact that schools are funded only for the pupils who are there. Some of the costs of division in the report are imaginary.
