Text

I will be absolutely clear: it is long past the time for such groups to exist in today's society. We are 27 years post the Good Friday Agreement. There is no space for those groups to exist in our society. They exist to keep their foot on the necks of the communities in which they live. We should do all that we can to ensure that they are disbanded. The initiative by the two Governments is for them to answer to. I share the Member's concerns. Anything that comes forward cannot be a case of throwing money at the groups; I do not agree with that. The Governments should do nothing that allows the groups to exist for even longer. I share the Member's views.
